SHIBARI NIGHT - Tengu
When: April 1, 2026 at 7:00pm
Where: Sawtelle, West LA (90064)
An evening exploring the artistry, connection, and tension of rope practice.
Ready to explore vulnerability and trust through rope? In this special edition of Shibari Night, we'll guide you through foundational techniques, finishing with the Tengu — a classic tie in which the arms are bound on either side like wings. Simple yet visually striking, the Tengu introduces key principles of tension, structure, and communication, and can serve as a foundation for more advanced ties.
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned rigger, drawn to binding or being bound, this night offers space to discover how restraint speaks louder than words.

What is Shibari?
Shibari is the Japanese art of rope bondage—an intimate and beautiful practice where rope is used to create connection, sensation, and sometimes stunning visual designs on the body. While it can be erotic, it’s not always sexual. For many, it’s a way to build trust, explore power dynamics, or simply enjoy the meditative, immersive experience of being tied or tying someone else.
At its core, shibari is about consent, communication, and connection—and it welcomes curious newcomers just as much as seasoned rope lovers.
