In this edition of the Lab, we explore the art of sensation—how textures, temperatures, and intentional touch can unlock new depths of pleasure and presence. Discover how contrast and anticipation heighten arousal, sharpen awareness, and turn the simplest tool into an instrument of ecstasy.

This edition explores the subtle art of sensation—how to awaken the body through textures, temperatures, and mindful touch. Learn to build anticipation, play with contrast, and guide a partner into heightened awareness, whether it's playful curiosity with someone new or deepening intimacy with a familiar lover.
What we’ll cover
Presence & Persona: attire, environment, psychology, body language, eye contact, cadence & tone of voice, silence & anticipation
Language & Ritual: instructions & commands, tasks, pacing, and simple protocols.
Embodied Techniques: positioning, dressing/undressing the submissive, physical domination (where to place hands, how to move a body), reading responses, addressing brattiness.
Props and Equipment: how simple tools such as collars, cuffs and blindfolds can focus attention, signal authority, and deepen ritual.
Consent & Care: negotiation, ongoing check-ins, and aftercare.

7:30 - 8:45 Discussion, demonstrations, and pair-practise
8:45 - 9:30 Open format - Meet, mingle, watch, learn, and try out dominance & submission techniques in a controlled setting. We’ll play some tunes, and you can hang out, chat and have fun.
What is Sensation in play?
Sensation play is the practice of awakening the body through intentional touch—using textures, temperatures, and varied stimuli to heighten arousal and deepen presence. It can introduce new layers of intimacy by engaging the senses in ways that amplify pure pleasure while shifting focus away from performance or outcome.
Sensation play can be intensely erotic—or purely sensual—but it doesn't have to culminate in sex. For many, it's a way to cultivate body awareness, explore pleasure mapping, or savor the meditative focus that comes from being fully present with each sensation. Both the giver and receiver can experience profound satisfaction from this form of exploration, independent of any sexual release that may also occur.

What is the start and end time?
Please arrive between 7pm and 7:20.
The discussion will start promptly at 7:30, and the event ends at 10:00pm.
Do I need to bring a partner?
Nope! Regardless of whether you are a Dom, sub, switch, or just curious, you are welcome to come solo if you’d like! We’ll be teaching some techniques that can be practiced without a partner, there will be other solo attendees you can pair with if you’d like, and also our facilitators will be available to pair with people who want to practice techniques that are taught in the workshop (whether dominant, submissive, or both). Plus, there will be plenty of interesting things happening if you just prefer to watch & socialize.
Is play allowed at this event?
This is a BDSM-focused social & learning event. During the open format time, all kinds of bdsm-oriented play, sensation play, sensual touching and light impact are allowed & encouraged. Sexual play and hand-to-genital contact are not allowed at this event. Specifics of any intended play must be discussed & agreed with your play partner prior to starting your play scene.
Will people be getting naked?
No. If you want to experience more skin contact during the open format section of the evening, you are welcome to take of a layer, but as this is not a play party, we ask that everyone please at minimum keep their underwear on at this event. Please note that it is also perfectly valid & normal to keep your clothes on for this event - in which case we recommend wearing light and comfortable clothing.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This event is 21+ only, and you will need to show ID at the door
Will there be food & drinks provided?
We’ll provide water. Feel free to bring any other beverages you’d like to enjoy for after the demo & tutorial has concluded.
